Giada Country House is situated in Dolcedo, more precisely in the Lecchiore area about 9.5kms from the sea.

Giada Country House was a bet by the Ghiglione Family which, thanks to their experience both in touristic and architectural fields, abled them to turn the 1600 family dwelling, which had been uninhabited for years,into a very particular touristic structure bearing a micro-economy based on a tenable tourism of quality.

Of remarkable importance is the architectural reassembling of the Giada Country House where the historic and architectural characteristics of the building are highlighted but above all the true history that it held inside.

In 1600 the manor houses of Liguria were articulated to guarantee the development of family economy which then was based on the production of olive oil and the barter of vegetable garden products.The ground floor still has the old oil-mill called "a sanque" because donkeys or mules were used to turn the mill. There was an adjacent stable with a trough-well for the animals.

The two higher floors were divided into day and night areas respectively all with white-washed vaults and stone floors renewed after careful reburshing. Another aspect which must be emphasized is the very old method of heating for the rooms using old wood stoves which can still be seen today and also the loggia on the third and top floor used to "hang" the fruit and vegetables out to dry.

Outside, the garden preserves the characteristic "scipissi" which are poles in wood tied to embossed stones called "chiappe" used to recover even the last palm of earth to grow strawberry grapes.

Today the Giada Country House is articulated into five apartments, all with a small terrace or a little garden, breakfast room/restaurant and the garden with pool, the patio, BBQ area, and a children's playground.
